Coal mine accident due to fire and methane gas explosion: Nagaland govt

The Nagaland geology and mining department reported on Thursday that a fire and explosion of methane gas caused the accident in a rat-hole mine located in Ruchayan village of Wokha district in Nagaland on January 25. Tragically, this incident resulted in the death of six laborers and injuries to five others.
