In Manipur, skeletal remains of youth missing since May 2023 found

On Wednesday, skeletal remains belonging to a 19-year-old youth were discovered in a village located in Chandel district, which borders Myanmar. The youth, Ngangom Nevy from Sugnu Awang Leikai in the valley district of Kakching, had gone missing and was presumed to be killed during ethnic clashes that erupted in Manipur last May. The family had reported Nevy missing to the Sugnu police station on May 31, 2023.
