Monday, 5 February 2024 Dismissing claims from the opposition that the Central government is withholding funds for states not aligned with the BJP, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman asserted on Monday that such allegations stem from a politically-biased narrative promoted by certain vested interests. During her address in the Lok Sabha, the FM emphasized that funds allocated to states according to the devolution plan outlined by the Finance Commission cannot be denied.
