Fresh plea filed for ASI survey of all closed cellars of Gyanvapi

Several days subsequent to the district court's verdict permitting a priest to conduct prayers in a cellar of the Gyanvapi mosque, a petitioner submitted a plea on Monday, urging for an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) assessment of all other sealed basements within the premises. The petition was filed by Rakhi Singh, a founding member of the Vishwa Vedic Sanatan Sangh and a party involved in the Shringar Gauri case.
