96.88 crore people registered to vote for 2024 Lok Sabha election, says Election Commission

The electoral process has been strengthened through a comprehensive cleanup of the electoral rolls. This includes the removal of 67,82,642 dead voters, 75,11,128 permanently shifted/absent voters, and 22,05,685 duplicate voters. The integrity and purity of the electoral process have been ensured through these measures.
