Surat company director arrested for buying diamonds, 'not paying Rs 42cr'

Asha Vanani, a director of a diamond firm, has been arrested for allegedly cheating a company by not making payment for the purchase of precious stones worth Rs 41.50 crore. The company bought diamonds from an Israeli firm between 2006 and 2009. The accused allegedly bought properties in the names of relatives. The arrest is being challenged in court.
