Goa's population growth stalls, workforce may feel pressure

Goa's natural population growth rate is projected to remain flat at 0.4% annually until 2036. The birth rate has fallen during the pandemic, and an unusually high number of deaths were reported in Goa in 2021 due to the Covid pandemic. Goa's literacy rate has increased to 93.2%.
