After spate of fatal attacks, Kerala govt declares human-animal conflict a state-specific disaster

The state cabinet declared human-wildlife conflict as a state-specific disaster and integrated the state disaster management authority into remedial measures. Four committees were established at different levels, and additional funding was allocated to reduce conflicts.
