Gujarat: Visa frauds jump 113% in 3 years, 114 arrested

In the three financial years, 139 complaints of visa cheating reported, with 114 accused arrested. Rs 74.15 lakh lost in financial cheating, with Rs 41.14 lakh recovered. Cases increased by 113% in 2022-23 compared to 2020-21. Vadodara city has the highest number of visa fraud complaints due to being an educational hub.
