The struggling Congress party has lost MLAs to the BJP, reducing its strength in the assembly. Pankaj Joshi is expected to become the chief secretary. A major jantri revision is expected after the general election. R B Barad may continue as GPCB chairman and Bhupendra Patel has instructed secretaries to avoid actions causing public unrest.
