India’s first undersea tunnel opens on Maha coastal road
Monday, 11 March 2024 Mumbai inaugurated the Coastal Road project from its 1967 Development Plan. The road, opened by the chief minister and deputy CMs, will reduce travel time and save fuel. Vintage cars and double-decker AC buses were part of the rally. The project, delayed by Covid and court cases, is expected to be completed by May. The southbound arm of the road opens to motorists on Tuesday, with the northbound arm expected to be finished in May.
