Key appointments in central government's security agencies: New heads named for NIA, NDRF, and BPR&D

The Central government has made key appointments in security agencies. IPS officer Sadanand Vasant Date is appointed as the new Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Piyush Anand, also an IPS officer, takes over as head of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). Rajeev Kumar, another IPS officer, assumes the position of Director General of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D).
