Monsoon ends its deficit, sowing operation picks up with focus on pulses and oilseeds

Recent data shows a significant increase in Kharif crop sowing compared to last year, with a 14% higher overall acreage. The rise is mainly driven by a 50% increase in pulses and oilseeds acreage. Paddy acreage, however, has seen a more modest increase. Forecasts suggest further growth in sowing area with expected above-normal rainfall.
