In a pioneering move, CM Siddaramaiah inaugurated Bengaluru's first air-conditioned underground market, Krishnadevaraya Palike Bazaar, in Vijayanagar. The project, proposed by MLA M Krishnappa, aims to provide vendors and shoppers a shield from weather elements. Developed by BBMP, the market features 79 shops, sensor-enabled sliding doors, escalators, and air-conditioning units, ensuring a comfortable shopping experience.
