As Darshan's 'chilling out' pics go viral, Belagavi prisoners raise demand for beedis, cigarettes

Hindalga jail inmates in Belagavi protested for access to tobacco products after viral photos showed actor Darshan smoking inside Bengaluru Central Prison. Over 500 undertrials skipped breakfast and threatened to miss lunch unless their demands were met. The Karnataka government subsequently suspended nine prison officials due to the incident.
