Maharashtra assembly elections: Congress suspends 28 rebel candidates

The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) took decisive action against internal dissent by suspending a total of 28 rebel candidates contesting against the official nominees of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in the upcoming assembly elections. This disciplinary measure, as warned by Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala, involves a six-year suspension for all party rebels.
