Over 24-hours ordeal finally ends for 60 Indian fliers as Gulf Air flight takes off from Kuwait
Monday, 2 December 2024 A Mumbai to Manchester Gulf Air flight, carrying about 60 Indian passengers, departed from Kuwait after being diverted due to a technical issue. The flight had been stranded since December 1, and many other passengers were able to leave the airport on visas-on-arrival. The Indian embassy ensured the stranded passengers were accommodated in the airport lounge.
Iran has placed its army on high alert and issued stark warnings to neighboring countries—including Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, and Bahrain—not to support any potential U.S. military action. According to Reuters, Tehran stated that allowing American forces to use their airspace or territory will be seen as an act of war and met with severe consequences.
