PM Modi launches Ken-Betwa link project, hails Ambedkar vision
Wednesday, 25 December 2024 PM Narendra Modi criticized the Congress for not recognizing BR Ambedkar's contributions to India's water resource development while highlighting the Ken-Betwa river linking project's benefits, initiated 23 years ago by Atal Behari Vajpayee's government. A day after being ignored by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the SCO Summit, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif attempted damage control by praising Moscow’s ties with New Delhi, calling them “fine.” Sharif also lauded Putin as a “dynamic leader” and expressed Islamabad’s desire to strengthen relations with Russia. The awkward outreach came after Sharif was seen rushing behind Putin, who walked with China’s Xi Jinping.
