Toxic remains of 1984 tragedy set to roll out of Bhopal today

Around 337 tonnes of toxic waste from the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy will be transported to Pithampur for incineration. A dozen GPS-enabled trucks will handle the move, which is set to start on Saturday night or early Sunday. Trial incineration of 35.6 MT will take place to determine the optimal burn rate.
