'Naxalites are rattled': CM Vishnu Sai lifts coffins of jawan killed in Chhattisgarh IED blast
Tuesday, 7 January 2025 Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to the DRG jawans who died in an IED blast in Bijapur, calling their sacrifice for the betterment of Chhattisgarh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Deputy CM Arun Sao also condemned the attack, vowing to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026. Eight security personnel and a vehicle driver were killed in the incident.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released graphic and unfiltered footage of the dramatic hijack of the Jaffar Express, dubbed Operation Darra-e-Bolan, carried out on March 11. Armed with rocket launchers and IEDs, BLA insurgents sabotaged train tracks and ambushed the train inside a tunnel, capturing over 300 Pakistan military personnel. While women and children were released, the BLA used the platform to issue a rallying cry for resistance, denouncing Pakistan’s alleged extrajudicial killings and accusing the UN of ignoring what they call a Baloch genocide. Pakistan's military claims to have rescued 354 hostages and killed 33 militants, while the BLA asserts higher enemy casualties and continued resistance.
