Tiger population in Maharashtra rises by 350 in 16 years: Forest minister Ganesh Naik

The number of tigers in the state has risen by 350 over the past sixteen years, reaching 444 in 2022. Efforts continue to increase the forest area to 30% of the total geographical area to support wildlife. Measures are being enacted to prevent tiger deaths and encourage private forestry.
