In a rare case, 3 convicted in murder case of Kerala woman although no body was found

Three people were convicted for Shaba Sherif's murder in 2020 by a Manjeri court. The conviction was based on mitochondrial DNA from hair in the car used for transporting body parts. The body was never recovered. Sherif, a healer, was allegedly killed for his secret formula. Nine others were acquitted.
