Karnataka deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar announces 114-km elevated corridor, Rs 4,000 crore waste management revamp for Bengaluru
Sunday, 25 May 2025 Deputy CM DK Shivakumar announced a 114-km elevated road corridor to combat Bengaluru's traffic congestion, following the approval of the tunnel road project. A Rs 4,000 crore 'Swachha Bengaluru' initiative will revamp the city's waste management, dividing it into 33 zones. Tenders for both projects are expected soon, with strict regulations for tunnel exits near Vidhana Soudha.
