Mumbai rain woes: Triple-digit showers lash city as monsoon revives; boy drowns in open pit

A 13-year-old boy, Faizan Khan, tragically died after falling into a rainwater-filled pit near the BKC Metro station in Bandra East following heavy rainfall. The pit, excavated by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL) for mangrove plantation, was reportedly fenced off. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Faizan was declared dead on arrival.
