Election Commission allows post-result mock polls to check EVM integrity

The Election Commission has revised EVM checking procedures, allowing second or third-place candidates to request mock polls on selected units. Charges are split into two slabs: ₹23,600 for plain checks and ₹47,200 for checks with mock polls. Additionally, the EC has limited the retention period for election-related still and video records to 45 days to prevent misuse.
