Centre fixes prices of 71 key drug formulations, including cancer medicines
Tuesday, 15 July 2025 () The central government has regulated prices for 71 essential medicines. This includes drugs for breast cancer, allergies, and diabetes. Reliance Life Sciences' Trastuzumab is now capped at Rs 11,966 per vial. Torrent Pharmaceuticals' peptic ulcer drug is fixed at Rs 162.5 per tablet. The NPPA also set prices for anti-diabetes medications. The NPPA ensures fair pricing for pharmaceuticals across India.
