Udaipur Files: I&B panel OKs the movie; no Supreme Court nod yet

IndiaTimes Monday, 21 July 2025 ()
The I&B ministry's committee has cleared 'Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder' for release with modifications, including a new disclaimer and name changes, after ordering additional cuts beyond the CBFC's initial 55. However, the Supreme Court has temporarily halted the film's theatrical release, pending a hearing on Thursday to address petitioners' objections to the committee's order.
