Boeing 787, 737 inspection: Air India completes fuel switch examination; claims 'no issues found'

Following a DGCA directive prompted by a recent Air India Boeing 787 crash, Air India has completed precautionary inspections of the fuel control switch locking mechanisms on its Boeing 787 and 737 aircraft. The inspections, initiated voluntarily on July 12 and completed within the DGCA's timeframe, found no issues with the locking mechanisms.
