President, not SC, decides when to seek court's opinion: Centre

The Union government has strongly objected to a recent court judgment that mandates the President to seek the Supreme Court's opinion on the constitutionality of bills. Arguing against the directive, the Centre asserts that the judiciary cannot dictate how the President exercises her discretionary powers under Article 143.
