Kerala Reports Third Case Of Rare Brain-Eating Amoeba: 11-Year-Old Girl Critical On Ventilator

An 11-year-old girl from Malappuram, Kerala, has been diagnosed with amoebic meningitis, a deadly brain infection caused by a rare brain-eating amoeba. She is currently on ventilator support at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, where two other patients, including an infant, are also being treated. With multiple cases and fatalities reported this year, health officials have urged the public to avoid swimming in stagnant or contaminated water and to take strict precautions.
