'Multi-layered defence shield': India successfully tests maiden flight of Integrated Air Defence Weapon system; watch
Sunday, 24 August 2025 () The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted maiden flight tests of the Integrated Air Defence Weapon System (IADWS) off the Odisha coast on August 23, 2025. This multi-layered air defence platform integrates indigenous components like QRSAM, VSHORADS, and a Directed Energy Weapon.

India has successfully tested the Agni-5 missile, validating all operational and technical parameters.
