'Seeking to realise Jinnah's dream': Himanta slams Sayeda Hameed for 'legitimising infiltration'; links her to Gandhi family

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma criticised activist Sayeeda Hameed for supporting illegal infiltration. Sarma accused Hameed of trying to make Assam part of Pakistan. He stated that Assam's identity is at risk because of such support. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also attacked Hameed's statement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed concerns about the rising population of illegal immigrants.
