Glastonbury says anti-IDF chants 'crossed a line', as PM condemns 'appalling hate speech'
Sunday, 29 June 2025 () The prime minister has criticised chants of "death to the IDF" during a Glastonbury performance on Saturday, while festival organiser Emily Eavis said they had "very much crossed a line".
Health Secretary Wes Streeting says chants at Glastonbury calling for “death to the IDF” were “a disgrace” and unhelpful to the Palestinian cause. He says the government is speaking to the BBC about how the comments were broadcast and remains focused on ending the conflict.
