Thursday, 8 June 2023 Australia lose their fifth wicket as Cameron Green is caught in the slips off the bowling of Mohammed Shami for six on day two of the World Test Championship final at The Oval.
Rishi Sunak faced humiliation on the cricket pitch as he was bowled out during a visit to the Oval. The prime minister attempted a drive but missed the ball, proving a less-than-stellar sporting prowess. Mr Sunak met with members of Surrey County Cricket Club’s Ace Schools Programme, offering free training to state school pupils aged nine to 13, with a goal of boosting black British representation in professional cricket.
