Biden administration tells US Supreme Court to review social media laws

The US Supreme Court is being asked to take up two cases that could impact social media companies' ability to regulate content. The challenge comes from Republican-backed laws in Texas and Florida that suggest social media companies shouldn't restrict content they view as objectionable on their platforms. Social media platforms have stated that it is important to regulate against misinformation and advocacy for extremist causes.
