Ukraine claims Crimea landing in 'special operation'

Ukraine flew its flag in Russian-annexed Crimea during a "special operation" to mark Independence Day, as Norway announced it would donate F-16 fighter jets to bolster Ukraine's air force. Ukraine's GUR intelligence agency said its special forces had engaged in combat and landed on Crimea's western shore, causing losses among the enemy. Russian missile strikes in Dnipro injured at least 10 people, and shelling in Kherson wounded a seven-year-old girl.
