Iran bans weightlifter for life over handshake with Israeli

An Iranian weightlifter, Mostafa Rajaei, has been banned for life and the head of the delegation, Hamid Salehinia, dismissed after Rajaei shook hands with an Israeli competitor at a championship in Poland. Iran, which does not recognize Israel, prohibits any contact between Iranian and Israeli athletes.
