China keen to work with Italy on trade despite Belt and Road misgivings

China's commerce ministry stated that it is still willing to collaborate with Italy to enhance trade and investment ties, despite Italy considering quitting the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Italy believes it has not benefited enough from the BRI and has until December to formally withdraw. However, China remains eager to deepen cooperation and explore potential opportunities for trade and investment.
