EU troops confront would-be rioters in exercise echoing Bosnia political crisis

A group of would-be protesters in Sarajevo are shouting and blowing whistles at the EU force's camp, in a demonstration reminiscent of recent protests by Bosnian Serbs. The EUFOR is currently conducting an exercise called "Quick Response 2023" to test its ability to rapidly activate and integrate reserve troops. The commander of EUFOR, Helmut Habermayer, emphasized the importance of adapting forces in volatile times, but also stated that military force is always the last resort.
