Police in Pakistan arrest at least 50 Imran Khan's supporters demonstrating for Palestine
Saturday, 14 October 2023 Supporters of former prime minister Imran Khan in Pakistan have been arrested for carrying his party's flag during protests in solidarity with Palestinians. At least 50 workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party were detained in various cities. While other religious parties held pro-Palestinian demonstrations, only those carrying PTI flags were arrested. The PTI has condemned the use of state machinery and unlawful detention of peaceful protesters.
