'Day of rage': Police use tear gas as protesters swarm US embassy in Beirut
Wednesday, 18 October 2023 Protesters in Lebanon gathered outside the US embassy in Beirut to demonstrate against the explosion at a Gaza City hospital. Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd. Some protesters scaled the embassy fence to plant a Palestinian flag. Simultaneously, protesters also targeted the French embassy. The demonstration came after Hezbollah called for a "day of rage" in response to the deadly explosion.
