Russia says fighter jets intercepted British planes over Black Sea

On Thursday, Russia scrambled two Su-27 fighter jets to intercept three British military planes, including an RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft and two Typhoon fighter planes, from entering the the Russian airspace near the Black Sea border, according to the Russian defence ministry. The foreign aircraft changed course and avoided breaching Russian airspace as the Russian fighters approached the aircrafts. Tensions in the Black Sea have risen amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
