'Went through hell': Freed hostage, 85, recalls being in 'spider web' of tunnels

Yocheved Lifshitz, an 85-year-old woman who was held hostage by Palestinian militants in Gaza, has described being beaten and taken through underground tunnels during her captivity. She is the first hostage to provide a public account of the conditions faced by the estimated 200 hostages held by Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza. Lifshitz was freed along with another woman, but their husbands remain in captivity. She recalled the horrors suffered by her neighbors during the attack on her town and stated that her kidnappers took care of her and provided medical treatment.
