IndiaTimes Thursday, 2 November 2023
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has announced a stimulus package worth 113 billion dollars aimed at mitigating the effects of inflation in the country. The package includes tax reductions, cash handouts, fuel subsidies, and funds for investments in high-tech industries. Japan's debt is expected to increase with this stimulus, as the country already has one of the highest debt ratios in the world. The package will be submitted to parliament for approval. Kishida believes that Japan is facing an opportunity to transition to a new economic stage.
