'Russia's Wagner group to supply Hezbollah with air defense'

IndiaTimes Friday, 3 November 2023
The US has expressed concerns that the Russian paramilitary group, Wagner Group, plans to supply Lebanese militia Hezbollah with an air-defense system. While the transfer has not been confirmed, discussions between the two groups are being closely monitored. US officials are worried about the potential arms deal and Russia's refusal to denounce Hamas's recent attack on Israel. The SA-22 air-defense system, already supplied to Syria, could be transferred to Hezbollah with Syrian President Assad's approval.
