Hostage crisis at German airport ends after 18 hrs

A hostage situation at Hamburg airport in Germany came to an end after 18 hours. The man, who had driven his vehicle through the gates with his 4-year-old daughter inside, was arrested and the girl is unharmed. The airport had been closed since Saturday night when the armed man broke through a gate and fired shots. The man's wife had previously reported a child abduction, and it is believed to be a custody battle. No one was injured during the standoff.
