US, China may resume military-to-military talks after Biden-Xi meet

Expectations for substantive agreements are minimal, with only a resumption of military-to-military communications and discussions about keeping AI software out of nuclear command and control systems likely to be announced. There is no plan for a joint statement, and both governments will provide their own account of the discussions.
