Judge denies Rep. Greene's restitution request for $65,000 home security fence

IndiaTimes Wednesday, 15 November 2023
A federal judge has rejected Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's request for restitution of $65,000 from a man who sent her threatening voicemails. Joseph Morelli pleaded guilty to making the threats and was sentenced to three months in prison. Greene sought restitution for the construction of a security fence and the reconfiguration of security cameras at her Georgia home. However, the judge ruled that the expenses were for personal security enhancements and did not establish a direct link to Morelli's threats.
