The daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, referred to as the "respected daughter," has been used in state propaganda to show the public that there is another generation waiting to continue the family dynasty. She has made 16 public appearances in the past year, mostly related to the military. Her role is to humanize Kim as a father and convey the message that supporting the country's nuclear weapons program is necessary to protect their children from a potential US invasion. However, experts believe that unless living conditions improve, perceptions of Kim are unlikely to change.
