US and Philippines sign a nuclear cooperation pact allowing US investment and technologies

The United States and the Philippines have signed a nuclear cooperation pact aimed at helping the Philippines transition to cleaner energy and improve its power supply. The agreement, known as a Section 123 agreement, will allow US investment and tech to support the development of reliable and sustainable power in the Philippines. It will also provide opportunities for US companies to invest in nuclear power projects. The Philippines aims to include nuclear energy in its energy mix by 2032.
